on a shady property. We visited in October; however, I can imagine the trees
will provide a cool area. We will be back! The proprietors are wonderful

and often September, are quite hot: generally in the
90s and occasionally 6 digits. However, there is very little humidity, so it's
quite comfortable in the shade and both mornings and evenings are 30-40 degrees

far as being "out of date", absolutely. The Inn was built in 1895 and
consequently our choice of décor is INTENTIONALLY out of date. We also agree
that knick-knacks tend to be dust collectors, which is why we spend a lot of
time dusting. While we are the first to admit that we occasionally miss a bit
of dust here and there during extremely busy periods, we totally refute your
claim that there is "lots of dust" and your overall low score
regarding cleanliness, especially as we recently spent an entire day taking
down all collectables and thoroughly cleaning them before putting them back up.
Considering the nice comments you made about us, we
have to assume you dislike Dolls & Tchotchkes so much that you simply
"assume" they're full of dust even when they're not.

is small so this isn't such an issue, but
some families with small children could mind. also
these rooms are quite small with low ceilings. We were given a wonderful
upgrade to (bigger) marinier room (with en suite bathroom), since some other guests had canceled
last minute - sooo very friendly of the hosts!

rating of 5 for clean, especially without specifics, would suggest to most that
the premises are unsanitary, which flies directly in the face of other reviews
and the amount of time we spend on housekeeping. Accordingly
we're guessing that we missed something, which is easy in a 5000 sq. ft.
Victorian mansion with 12 ft. ceilings (i.e. cobwebs appear as quickly as we
remove them) and whatever it was bothered you enough to post it in your review
for all to read rather than verbally telling us. We apologize for not meeting
your standards of cleanliness.

and elevated 20 feet above it, which is a greater distance than almost all of the other lodging facilities in the County.
Additionally, we have a lot of trees and shrubs buffering us from the main
thoroughfare (hwy49), which is relatively quiet most of the time. This leads us
to suspect that you live in a wonderfully secluded location.

you arrived you mentioned the rooms were cold so we
closed the room vents. We couldn't help but notice that they were still closed
after you checked out, as were the windows that we also showed you how to
operate. Upper room temperatures never get above 75 and the smaller rooms you
occupied are generally even lower, especially at night when they tend to drop
below 70, not surprising when you consider that night-time temps generally drop
into the 60s. Daytime temp today was 96 and the A/C maintained upstairs at 74
and lower. We hired a cleaning detailer about a month ago, who spends 1 full
day every week cleaning anything we may have missed, so we're extremely
surprised at your low score for cleanliness.

Victorian leaning towards Whimsical is not your cup of tea? We finally managed
to complete the stamped dining-room ceiling, which was a challenge considering
that we haven't had an empty day in more than 6 months, and followed it with a
deep- cleaning to eliminate the construction fallout.

that included a large, old fashioned tub... a divine experience that changed my
mind about only taking showers. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud and so
clean. Breakfast... well the eggs were superb and if the conversation with the
owners was less interesting, I would have remembered to ask how they made them
so perfectly! Each entree served was different than I have experienced before
and even the french toast was exceptional. I truly
hope to travel through that area and stay there again.”

outweighed our negatives so much that you rated us 10 even in the areas that are in need of some attention, such as repainting. San
Andreas is not a destination point and definitely a
little funky, much of this related to it being a County Seat which typically
attract and cater to a higher than average percentage of low-income housing.
The good news is that compared to the average big city, it's quiet, has a low
crime rate and little traffic. Best of all, it's only 10 - 20 miles of scenic country-highways
to many of the neighboring towns and attractions.

- Der Garten und das Äussere des Hauses sind etwas ungepflegt.
Die Besitzer sind aber gerade daran,
das Haus neu zu streichen. Für Kinder gibt es da nix, ausser dem recht
guten WLAN.

regarding the location. Having said that, finding us is not really
all that difficult if you follow the directions provided via the link on
our confirmation. Having said that, perhaps you, like many of our visitors,
reserved via mobile device and didn't have access to a printer and instead
relied on your GPS, which only gets you close. Regardless, we obviously need to
do more to convince our guests to check our suggested directions. Additionally,
while San Andreas is certainly not a destination point, it is centrally located
to many destination points, making it an ideal location for those who want to
be near tourist attractions but prefer staying in a less busy/quieter location.

A lovely B&B, very charming, clean,
